Well like I mentioned before I don’t know exactly the first time I met this couple but I know how long I’ve known the groom… and that would be going on some 20+ years now. I go quite a ways back with this family. Craig and I, along with a small group of us used to hang out back in high school and somehow always ended up at Craig house after football games, destroying his brothers Lego city. That’s a story for another time.
Now I only met Amanda about 3 or 4 years ago at Craig’s older brother, Vance’s wedding. So she’s known me for that long ans still chose to hire me and put up with Craig and I on the same day. I even got to see another old friend from the gang from back in the day also.
Like always,I got to spend the morning hanging with all the girls at the Emporium Salon and who we kidding, I think you all know by now I love hanging out with the girls. Far better looking that the guys. Once again, the girls got ready at LeMerigot and then it was off to the USI Campus.
The ceremony was out but the baseball diamond. There is a little old school-house out there. School House #3 to be precise. This was such a neat little area and a great place for small an outside ceremony. Not sure if they’re planning on restoring the old school-house for such occasions or not. The day actually turned out much warmer than we all thought for how cool it started. Still everything when well. The bride and her girls arrived by carriage and walked right down the aisle.
There were personal touches throughout the wedding… From the measuring tape suspenders on the men to the wine jar in place of a unity candle. Instead of the Unity candle or sand ceremony they had a jar of grapes which they both poured water in and on their 1st anniversary will have wine to celebrate with.
After some family photos it was off to Aztar’s Walnut room for a big party and dinner.
